Artwork - The Seaside

These tiles are made of clay.

After our trip to Minsmere RSPB centre we wanted to make
some models of the birds we saw there...

We used wire mesh and mod roc.

William made an avocet.

And this one is a bittern.

We made a bird hide when we got back to school.

Pond Dipping

We founds lots of creatures in the pond.

Including this beautiful newt.
We found a frog too, and lots of beetles and nymphs.
This tells us the water quality in our pond is excellent.

Wind in the Willows

We have really enjoyed following the adventures of Ratty,
 Mole and Toad
We have written some detailed character descriptions.
And enjoyed doing illustrations in the style of E.H.Shepard.

Water Worlds

We have done lots of art work based on our topic this term.
Everyone contributed to this mural.
Some of our parents helped us with our batik when they came
to our class carousel.
Some of our designs show under the sea scenes...
Some of us used a pond theme.

Outdoor Maths

We use Book Creator on the IPads to record our findings.

We wanted to find examples of angles and lines
We found examples of shapes too.

Are they parallel or perpendicular?
We looked for square numbers, prime numbers, factors and multiples.
It really helped us to remember what all these tricky mathematical terms mean.
It was fun too!
